Stolen smartphone tracking

If my stolen samsung J1 ( android 4.4.4) got a ' hard reset' by the thief (so all the data and tracking app are deleted), how is it possible to track that device ? Does these facts help;

• 1.the thief has replaced my SIM by his own one.

• 2.the thief use his own gmail account now

,can help?

Hey, Firstly excuse me for my english I'm the better in english. .. So, Have you activeted in : Settings ; Security ; etc. The geo-localisation ? Because, I think : if the thief has changed the SIM it's very hard for find your device...
